whimsical, moody & most importantly

personal

We knew we wanted our wedding to feel like us every step of the way so we decided to personally create + design everything from our paper goods to our website! We’ve gotten a lot of questions about what we’ve created so if you’re curious, keep scrolling!

Every good idea starts with a…MOODBOARD! As soon as we booked our venue and date, we immediately sat down and threw together a collage of what we wanted our wedding ambiance to be and how we wanted our guests to feel. A little bit vintage, some retro glam, a dash of bold, and lots of moodiness. This has been the foundation of everything we’ve created!

Save the Dates

Using our moodboard, we created the first iterations of our Save the Dates! Here’s some early sketches of what we thought our original save the dates + invitation suite were going to look like and what we landed on.

For our Save the Dates, we wanted to stray away from a photo of ourselves and give our friends + family a fun piece of artwork to put on their fridge that reminded them of us. Steve had the great idea of turning our wedding venue, Haley Mansion, into a gingerbread house and Christine added the swinging feature - WABAM! Together they created the perfect save the date!

Logo + Vintage Frames

Christine drew this logo inspired by various elements from the Haley Mansion!

From swan faucet heads to wallpaper design, no details were missed. Bonus points if you can find bits and pieces of our logo on our wedding day. :)

We also love a good vintage frame in this house.

From our bestie gallery, save the dates, wedding invitations to our website. They’re everywhere!!!

Christine designed 5 for the bestie gallery, 1 for her bridesmaids proposal boxes, and 1 for the save the dates!

Wedding Invitations

More elements from the Haley Mansion and of course… more vintage frames!

Christine incorporated the original logo and pieces from the Haley Mansion into the final wedding invitation suite design. There were so many fun statues and details to choose from! Once this was drawn, she submitted her designs to a letterpress plate-making company and with the help of Steve + her sisters the invitation suite was made.

Special thank-you to Jennifer + Michelle for painstakingly hand letter-pressing each invitation and details card! This was no easy feat and were lovingly pressed by the 2 of them making each card special and unique!

Playing Card

For the last card in our invitation suite, we wanted to pull from the playfulness of the casino while staying true to the vintage feel of our overall wedding vibe. This was the most fun to create because we got to design our own wedding playing card!

On the back of the card, you’ll notice another vintage frame with a diamond background - very casino. On the front, you’ll see our initials instead of numbers above the heart suit!
